Healthy Apple chutney recipe for kids

Apple Chutney

Apple chutney is a fantastic edible treat. Instead of bringing wine to a gathering, put the chutney's recipe on a classy tag and give the jar as a present.

2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tbsp minced fresh ginger

1 1/2 tsp coriander seeds

1 1/2 tsp  salt

1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

     2 bay leaves

3 medium tart apples , peeled, and finely chopped

5 dates ( finely chopped)

1/2 c apple cider vinegar

1/2 c chopped  apples

1/2 c water

1 tbsp dark brown sugar

Preparation:

Oil should be heated in a medium saucepan at a medium heat. Cook ginger, coriander seeds, salt, black pepper, and bay leaves over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes, or until extremely fragrant.

Include the fresh apples, dates, vinegar, dried apples, water, molasses, and water. Cook for about 20 minutes, stirring regularly, until sticky and thickened.

Put chutney in a bowl. If using, serve with bread on the side for dipping.

Chutney can be prepared up to a week in advance. Refrigerate for up to a week after transferring to an airtight container.
